Study NOW! Geography Test October 1st. Spending 10 -15 minutes a night for several nights in a row is a better way to study than cramming for an hour the night before. Use the following for studying for the test:
Extra Help is Monday after school. The Homework Center is open Monday - Thursday after school & there are always people who can help. Remember it is up to YOU to ASK for help! Do you love to write? Want to enter a contest or 2? Check out the following!
Advantage Points is HW that YOU CHOOSE to do; it’s optional. Each week there will be an Advantage Points activity posted on our daily bulletin. IF you want to do the activity on your own time, go right ahead. When you are finished turn it in to your Class Period Basket. Credit earned for Advantage Points will be reflected in your final quarter grade. This week's is Spelling City Geography Vocabulary Review (see the previous post for info on Spelling City) One day you receive a phone call from the President of the United States of America. Voyager 1 has left our solar system & has recently discovered a new planet. NASA believes that the planet is capable of sustaining life. As a world famous cartographer, you are being called upon to map out this new land. Your mission: Draw a map of the land. Use the vocabulary lists to design & label all the land forms. Make sure you include all the necessary parts of a map that are listed on the vocabulary lists. You can download a copy of all those vocabulary words below. Remember, if you are not sure what a word means, text book pages G4 & G46 & G47 have just about every word, a definition & a picture to help you out. Pssst.... there will be a geography test before the month this over.... these words will be important to know.
Welcome to Team 6B! Hopefully your first day went smoothly & you're looking forward to coming back for day 2! Make sure when you come to class you remember the 4 rules of our room:
